Aims and Objectives – GATE-SELTA

To raise teachers’ awareness about ELT methods and materials and enable them to keep pace with the latest advancements of ELT both nationally and internationally.
To encourage the general professional development of ELT in Sylhet division / Bangladesh through meetings, discussions training workshops and training courses, providing local and international newsletters and magazines and by making relevant resource materials readily available.
To encourage individual classroom teachers to develop ideas and materials and empower those teachers to share their ideas and materials with other teachers
To encourage a positive and mutually beneficial relationship between teachers and ELT related business
To present and demonstrate GATE SELTA’s activities locally, nationally, and internationally
To re-enforce GATE TRUST’s training-outcome in the classroom through GATE-SELTAs; so that GATE TRUST can evaluate learners’ achievement
